What are the symptoms if your dog has coccidia?
Symptoms of coccidia in dogs:
1. Dogs with coccidia will suffer from loss of appetite, low energy, and mild fever.
2. Dogs with coccidiosis will have symptoms of indigestion and diarrhea.
3. There is blood at the end of the stool, jelly-like mucus in the stool, or reddish-brown stool.
4. In the later stage, you may suffer from anemia, dehydration, and finally death due to systemic failure.
Treatment plan for coccidiosis in dogs:
1. Mix amprolium into food according to the prescribed dosage and use it for 7-12 days.
2. Take sulfadimethoxine orally according to the dose for 20-25 days until the symptoms disappear.
3. Treat other secondary infections and inflammations accordingly.
