It is okay to delay the vaccination of your dog for a few days. However, dog vaccines can be delayed for up to five to seven days, and the longer the delay, the worse the immune effect of the vaccine. Therefore, if you are unable to vaccinate on time due to something unexpected, it is recommended not to exceed 7 weeks, so as to minimize the impact of delayed vaccination. Finally, if you have not been vaccinated according to the immunization process, it is recommended to do an antibody test after receiving all vaccines to understand the specific antibody level of your dog.

Notes on vaccinating dogs:

1. The validity period of a dog’s vaccination is usually about one year. To prevent dog vaccines from becoming ineffective in the body, it is generally recommended that dogs be vaccinated every 11 months.

2. After vaccination, do not bathe the dog within a week to prevent adverse reactions.

3. Dogs can be vaccinated only if they are healthy, have no viral, bacterial infection or trauma or other diseases, and are not pregnant.

4. You must go to a regular animal hospital to get vaccinated by a professional veterinarian, so as to ensure the effectiveness of the vaccine.

5. The dog should stay in the hospital for observation for 30 minutes after the injection. If the dog shows symptoms of edema, rash, or difficulty breathing, the doctor should be notified in time for an anti-allergic injection.
