How to raise a Saint Bernard puppy

This is my first time raising Saint Bernard. I don’t know scientific feeding and management, and I am always afraid of being hungry. So they feed them constantly or in large amounts, resulting in illness or even death. Especially for little St. Bernards, overfeeding often causes illness or death.

Raising Saint Bernard dogs mostly starts from young. The digestion and absorption function of puppies is not yet perfect, and some puppies are very greedy, so they are easily prone to vomiting and diarrhea due to overeating. If not treated in time, they often die. If the pet is not pampered, the joy turns into sadness. Generally speaking, puppies just bought from the market are most likely to cause vomiting and diarrhea because their new owners let them eat and drink too much because they are hungry and thirsty.

The little Saint Bernards that have just been brought home should be made to drink water first, and then feed them food. In the first few days, puppies are generally allowed to eat 70-80% full. The best food to feed is puppy food sold on the market. This kind of food is rich in nutrients and in the right proportion, which is beneficial to the digestion and absorption of puppies. In addition, when raising puppies for the first time, it is best to consult an experienced person or animal doctor, and take them to the animal hospital for a health examination and develop a vaccination and deworming plan.
