The Indian star tortoise does not hibernate. Indian star tortoises are found in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other places. The places have high temperatures and semi-arid conditions all year round, so star tortoises do not hibernate. Star tortoises live in thorny grasslands and in areas with high rainfall. They have the living habits of animals in grassland areas and are suitable for being raised in places with many plant species. The respiratory system of the Indian star tortoise is very sensitive to humid environments or excessive humidity.

Precautions for breeding Indian star tortoises:

1. Soak in water. It is recommended that star tortoises with a breastplate of less than 7cm should soak in warm water every day, at least once, for about 15-20 minutes each time. This allows the star tortoise to drink water and clean the body.

2. Rizhao. Star tortoises should not be exposed to the sun directly. They can use the oblique indoor sunlight as sunlight, or use UVB lamps and bulbs to assist. The daytime temperature should be 28-30 degrees, and the nighttime temperature should be kept around 27 degrees.

3. Feeding. The Indian Star Tortoise is an absolute vegetarian. Do not feed it meat vegetables on your own when raising it, as it will cause the Indian Star Tortoise to suffer from indigestion.

4. Peak back problem. As the Indian star tortoise grows up, some may develop hump problems. Most of the reasons for the hump are due to rapid growth and development. In normal times, attention should be paid to a balanced diet of the Indian star tortoise.
