1. Eyes
When a purebred golden retriever adult dog looks straight ahead, the whites of its eyes should not be exposed. However, when choosing a golden retriever, you should never buy such a dog. One characteristic of all mammals is that the size of their eyes changes very little after they are born and grow up. Many people's eyes were quite big when they were young, but become smaller as they grow up. This is because the eyes themselves do not change. Therefore, when buying a puppy, you should show the whites of the eyes appropriately - pay attention to the appropriateness.
2. Ears
The golden retriever’s ears should not be too big. If the ears are too big or too long, it is not an advantage but a defect. Pull the tips of the ears to just cover the front of the golden retriever's eyes. If it exceeds too much, it is a shortcoming.
3. Mouth
Hold the baby's mouth with your hands. The thicker the mouth of a golden retriever, the wider the mouth will be in the future. Otherwise, it is easy to grow into a sharp-mouthed dog. Within the moderate range, the wider the mouth and the stronger the grip, the better the appearance.
4. Nose
The golden retriever’s nose should be black. If it is red, it will be disqualified.
5. Tail
Many friends don’t pay attention to the tail when choosing a little golden retriever. Please note that when a golden retriever is standing still, its tail must be hanging diagonally. When buying a golden retriever baby, its tail should be tucked behind the butt or drooping moderately when standing still. When running, the tail will not be completely straight back, nor will it be curled up like a Chinese garden dog.
6. Head
The golden retriever’s head has two characteristics. First, there is an obvious bone protrusion at the top of the head. A golden retriever without this protrusion is not a pure breed. Secondly, in the middle of the nose, there is a vertical straight line in a concave state. It is better to be deeper than shallow.
7. Coat color
This is very strange. Everyone likes golden retrievers in different standards. Some friends like gold, while others like light yellow (close to white). In addition to these two colors, there are also black and pure white. However, as the name suggests, the golden retriever is naturally the best color.
8. Gross volume
Naturally, the more hair, the better. If you comb it carefully with a comb, you can easily feel the hair volume of a golden retriever. In theory, the more hair, the better.
