How to train a dog to drill into a circle:

1. First prepare a circle. The easiest thing to do is just use a hula hoop. Put the hula hoop in the doorway and say to your dog, "Drill!" Dogs generally know that you want them to "pass", but due to their nature, they are still likely to be willing to crawl under the hula hoop.

2. Then stand on the other side of the circle and issue the command "Drill" again! Then hold the leash around the dog's neck, pass the leash through the center of the circle and pull it inward. While calling its name, pull the dog out of the pen and come to you. If you express the intention of running away, try to persuade him: "Good boy, come on." Praise it by petting it gently and try again.

3. After several times, the dog finally understands that you want it to pass through the circle. The dog will also become more and more proficient.

4. If the dog is already very comfortable, as comfortable as if there is no hula hoop there, then you can lift the hula hoop up a little, but it is still stuck in the doorway. Then, when the hula hoop is about 20-30 cm above the ground and you can jump over it easily and nimbly, you can leave the doorway and just hold the hula hoop in your hand and let it pass.

Notes on dog hoop training:

1. Do not place the hula hoop high at the beginning. The lower the better, first cultivate the dog’s interest and confidence.

2. Every time before letting your dog challenge a higher height, be sure to warm up with several lower jumps.

3. It is a good thing to train some skills, but if the dog is really unwilling, don’t force it, otherwise it will really become a circus.
