Everyone knows that Border Collies are long-haired dogs, so hair care is very important. However, because Border Collies have long hair, many parents don’t know how to take care of their dogs’ hair. In fact, the hair of long-haired dogs such as Border Collies is also very easy to take care of. As long as we have enough patience and get used to taking care of it once a day, you will find that it is actually quite simple to take care of the Border Collie's long hair.

The owner must comb it thoroughly every day and trim its hair frequently. Here’s a step-by-step introduction:

Step 1: Start by gently brushing away the knots and clumps of hair with a smooth brush. Be gentle when brushing.

Step 2: Use a round-headed needle brush to brush the entire body. Be gentle to avoid pulling out the hair. After brushing, the dog's fur should be free of any tangled knots. The thick hair under long-haired dogs' legs is easy to tangle, and the skin here is also relatively sensitive, so special care should be taken when grooming this area.

Step 3: Use a wide comb to comb the hair all over the dog's body and comb out some small knots. Then comb it again with a fine comb (a fine comb is recommended). Be careful not to use a short-bristled brush for combing.

Step 4: Use scissors to trim the long hair around the dog’s feet. Remember to trim the long hair in front of the toes. This area is prone to accumulation of dust and dirt. If not cleaned in time, it will cause inflammation, so trim it frequently.

Step 5: Use a pair of sharp scissors to trim the long hair and fluff (long, thin hair) on the dog’s buttocks (the connection between the hind legs) so that the hair in this area is less likely to tangle and accumulate dirt.
