Depending on the size of the dog, the time it takes for the dog to enter old age is different. Large dogs such as golden retrievers begin to enter old age after 7 or 8 years old. Small dogs such as Teddy, Bichon Frize, and Pomeranian may not enter old age until they are about 10 years old. If your dog is old and is suitable for neutering, you can first take it to a pet hospital for a physical examination and then follow the pet doctor's instructions.

Four situations in which dogs cannot be neutered:

1. Dogs are old or sick, such as liver and kidney diseases, and have poor physical fitness. Neutering surgery is not recommended.

2. During pregnancy, the focus should be on raising the fetus, and sterilization surgery is not allowed. At this time, sterilization surgery is not only difficult, but also has a great impact on the dog's health.

3. When a dog is in estrus, due to the high blood supply to the uterus and other reproductive organs, sterilization surgery can easily cause heavy bleeding.

4. If the dog has just been vaccinated, or the vaccine has not been completely completed, it is not advisable to undergo sterilization surgery.
