The starfish does not recognize its owner. Because starfish are sea creatures without brains, they cannot recognize their owners. It only has a simple survival instinct and has no independent thinking function. It only makes some basic actions to maintain vital signs. Even if a starfish has been kept for a long time, it will not develop any emotions towards its owner.

How to raise starfish correctly:

1. The best living environment for starfish is rock walls, corals, live rocks, caves and fine sand substrates. Keep the temperature at 26-28°C and the pH between 8.0 and 8.3. Starfish are very sensitive to nitrates, so the lower the nitrate and phosphate levels, the better. Starfish in clean water will move and look for food, while deterioration of water will cause starfish to stay put.

2. Starfish eat shrimp, cockles, clams, shellfish, mysid shrimp or squid. Most starfish will also eat boiled spinach and cabbage. Just put the food next to the starfish when feeding.

3. Starfish rarely get sick. If water quality deteriorates or dietary needs are not met, starfish may develop bacterial infections that can lead to sores and lesions on their skin. After starfish become sick, they can be moved to a quarantine tank and the water quality of the breeding environment should be improved. When treating starfish, avoid using copper drugs, which are fatal to it.
