The tadpole will not recognize its owner. Tadpoles have low IQs and no sense of autonomy. Their main life activities are foraging and reproduction, and they do not have the ability to recognize their owners. When the tadpoles grow up, they will turn into frogs. Frogs are amphibians and cold-blooded animals and do not recognize their owners. When feeding tadpoles, pay attention to the cleanliness of the water and feed them in time to avoid letting the tadpoles starve to death.

How to raise tadpoles:

1. Prepare a suitable container to raise tadpoles. Generally, tadpoles can live in any ordinary container that can be used. It is best for them to live in Outdoors, mosquito larvae can be trapped for tadpoles to eat, naturally providing a clean aerobic environment. Make sure they live in a sheltered, dark environment. Suitable options include a large aquarium, a large bowl, a small pool, etc.

2. Lay gravel at the bottom of the container as a base. Add a large rock to provide shelter and serve as land for the tadpole to transform into a frog. Put some grass inside with roots. The tadpoles will lie on it and eat its roots. Make sure there are no pesticides, which can affect tadpole health.

3. Set a shadow to cover the container. If you put the tadpoles outdoors. Tadpoles must be able to avoid direct sunlight. Keep about 10 tadpoles in one liter of water, not too many. If you feed too many, they will die and bite each other.

4. Keep the water clean. Tadpoles need clean, dechlorinated water. Bottled water is also possible, but if the water is from tap water and needs to be left for more than 24 hours, rainwater is the best way to raise tadpoles if there are mosquito larvae in it and there are no chemicals. It is generally recommended to use the water source from where you caught the tadpoles. Do not use tap water directly as it contains too many chemicals that may affect the health of your tadpoles. If you want to use tap water, let it dechlorinate for 24 hours.

5. Change the water for tadpoles regularly. Try to only replace half of the water once to keep the pH value relatively stable. Using a hose will reduce disturbing the tadpoles while still sucking up debris from the bottom of the container.

6. Boil long leaf lettuce for about 15 minutes, it will become soft. Drain and cut into small pieces. Give some to eat every day. Other types of lettuce are also available. However, only give soft leaves and small pieces. Tadpoles can also eat small pieces of fish food, but this is not recommended. Eating too much can cause the tadpoles to die.
