Budgerigars are also afraid of heat in summer. Although parrots have always lived in the tropics or subtropics, they are still relatively afraid of heat. It is suitable to live in an environment of about 30°C. When the temperature is higher than 40°C, it may suffer from heat stroke, so you must pay attention to sun protection and cooling in summer.
Methods to solve the problem that budgerigars are afraid of heat in summer
1. First of all, you can give the parrot more water at ordinary times. The doors and windows at home should be opened for ventilation, but the parrot should not be allowed to breathe. Blowing a fan or air conditioner can easily catch a cold.
2. In summer, the parrot's cage should be placed in a cool and ventilated place. Leaves can be placed on the birdcage to avoid direct sunlight. You can also prepare a basin of water for the parrot, which it can bathe in and cool down.
3. You can put water in a spray bottle and have artificial rainfall from time to time. The budgerigar will find it very interesting.
