This is the most common cause of vomiting and diarrhea. Dogs usually have weak digestive functions and will develop diarrhea if they do not digest properly. Be careful not to dehydrate this kind of diarrhea, and pay attention to control and conditioning.

Lactose intolerance

Many dogs like to drink milk. Drinking milk can supplement a large amount of protein, calcium and other nutrients. However, the lactose in cow's milk and goat's milk can easily cause dogs to suffer from lactose intolerance. Dogs develop lactose intolerance (insufficient catabolic enzymes), leading to bloating, bowel sounds, abdominal pain, diarrhea and even vomiting.

Usually milk contains 4.2% lactose and goat milk contains 4.6% lactose. Solution: drink lactose-free milk.

Catch a cold

When the seasons change, the temperatures alternate, and many dogs are prone to diarrhea. Generally speaking, as long as the dog's energy and appetite are the same as usual, it can be considered that sudden changes in weather or cold are causing diarrhea. It is necessary to properly keep the dog warm and regulate his digestion.

Enteritis

The symptoms of enteritis are that in addition to diarrhea, the dog's mental state is not good and the body temperature rises. In this case, the dog's symptoms are very similar to canine infectious enteritis (canine distemper). After confirming that the dog has been immunized, you can treat it according to the following methods. Otherwise, please go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis as soon as possible. Diarrhea caused by parasites can also cause the dog to become thin, and can even be fatal in severe cases. If you need to feed intestinal worms, it is best to go to the hospital for a stool test to confirm the condition. It is recommended to deworm every three months to completely prevent this phenomenon from happening!

Improper diet

Overeating, food poisoning, eating human food, and unclean drinking water are all diarrhea caused by improper diet. The solution is simple: feed dog food.

Cause of infectious diseases

Parvovirus, canine distemper and other infectious diseases all cause diarrhea. In the early stage, diarrhea is accompanied by vomiting, appetite and loss of energy. In the middle stage, the gastric mucosa is vomited and the excrement becomes watery. In the later stage, the vomitus becomes more viscous, the excrement is foul-smelling, and irregular urinary and fecal incontinence occurs.

Canine distemper has fever, diarrhea, severe lethargy, and recurrent diarrhea and fever in the early stage! Generally, the condition worsens in the second cycle and is life-threatening.
