2. How to treat intussusception in dogs

The treatment of dog intussusception requires different measures depending on the severity of the condition. For mild cases of intussusception, you can try air enema reduction or enema reduction with warm soapy water. Painkillers and anesthetics are used when necessary, and can also cause the initial intussusception to reset naturally. Dogs with serious conditions must undergo surgery.
