External ear

The external ear includes the auricle and the external auditory canal, which is a sound receiver; the auricle and the auditory canal together form the ear, which is covered with fur and is formed by vertical ear cartilage. The microenvironment of the external auditory canal: pH value 6.1, temperature 38.2°C, humidity about 80%, and a small amount of microorganisms present. Once inflammation occurs, it means a change in the environment and becomes a breeding ground for microorganisms. At the same time, it is easy for the ear canal to accumulate grease, dust and moisture, especially in dogs with big ears. The drooping ear shells often cover the ear canal, or the long hair near the ear canal can also cover the ear canal, so the air circulation in the ear canal is poor. Smooth, easy to accumulate dirt and moisture, causing ear canal infection and inflammation.

Middle ear

The middle ear includes the eardrum, tympanum, and auditory tube, and converts sound waves into mechanical vibrations.

Inner Ear

The inner ear consists of the hearing and balance organs and converts mechanical vibrations into electrical impulses that are recognized by the brain's central system.
