The symptoms of cat distemper and gastroenteritis are very similar, most of which are vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, lack of energy, loss of appetite, etc. The main difference lies in the difference in body temperature:

1. Cats suffering from feline distemper will generally have abnormal body temperature in the early stage, generally exceeding 40 degrees, incubating for about 2-9 days, and will return to normal temperature in 2-3 days, and then have repeated abnormal body temperatures. The situation will get worse and worse, with the most severe symptoms occurring on days 3-5, and some cats may even die directly.

2. Cats suffering from gastroenteritis do not have fever. Generally speaking, there may be a slight increase in body temperature, but it will not be as severe as cat plague.
