The cat should not be imprisoned when it makes a mistake. Just give it some small lessons when it does something wrong. Over time, it will not make the same mistake. To form a conditioned reflex of pain, what we are talking about here is "pain", not "beating". After the cat makes a mistake, you don't need to hit it. You can flick its nose or tap the top of its head to cause it pain. This will make the cat have some fear and know that you are punishing it.

Methods for handling cats when they make mistakes:

1. Reprimand loudly. Take the cat to the place where it made the mistake and scold it loudly, or slap the cat on the butt, but do not frighten the cat excessively.

2. Use auxiliary tools. When you see a cat about to make a mistake, you can pour it with water. Cats are more afraid of water. This can also help the cat improve its memory.

3. Appropriate mental indifference. After scolding the cat, ignore the cat for a period of time and do not actively give the cat treats. Appropriate cold treatment will make the cat realize its mistake.

4. Positive rewards. When the cat does something right, give it some encouragement and rewards, such as feeding it some dried fish or petting it.
