Methods for treating dystocia in female cats:

1. Massage the abdomen. The palm of the hand presses the abdominal wall with the frequency of the female cat's abdominal contraction to encourage it to strengthen contraction and deliver the fetus.

2. Medicinal midwifery. When the fetus is still not produced after massaging the abdominal wall for more than 30 minutes, subcutaneously inject 5 to 10 ml of posterior pituitary hormone and 0.5 to 1 mg of diethylstilbestrol to promote uterine smooth muscle contraction.

3. Traction the fetus. If the fetus has been exposed for more than 5 minutes and still cannot be delivered, the fetus should be gently placed into the pelvic cavity, then turned and pulled out.

4. Cesarean section. A cat’s caesarean section requires general anesthesia, and the female cat’s physical condition must be assessed before surgery.

Causes of dystocia in female cats:

1. Labor dystocia. Symptoms include weak and weak uterine contractions, premature uterine contractions and water rupture, insufficient secretion of estrogen, oxytocin, pituitary hormone and prostaglandins, excessive secretion of progesterone, malnutrition during pregnancy, lack of exercise, obesity or old age. Weak reasons.

2. Birth canal dystocia. It manifests as pelvic deformation, vaginal vulva stenosis, cervix stenosis, uterine deformity, uterine torsion and uterine rupture.

3. Fetal dystocia. The fetus is too large or twins enter the birth canal at the same time, fetal malformation, abnormal fetal position, abnormal fetal momentum and abnormal fetal direction.
