►What are motor organ system diseases

Locomotor system disease refers to lesions in the dog’s bones, joints, muscles and other locomotive organs. You may be a little unfamiliar with this term, but in fact it is a common degenerative disease in dogs! There are three causes of motor organ system diseases, of course the most important one is aging. The physical condition of dogs will undergo various changes as they age; the most common one is spondylosis deformans, in which the spine in the back deforms and compresses the nerves, causing the dog to experience pain and discomfort; in severe cases, This can lead to the inability to urinate and the inability to walk. In addition, aging will also cause the cartilage in the joints to wear and degrade, leading to degenerative arthritis. Although arthritis is generally more common in medium and large dogs, once they get older, no matter what kind of dog, they are prone to this problem! Even small dogs should pay attention! The second reason is congenital, such as knee dislocation and hip hypoplasia; the last is diseases of the nervous system, which sometimes cause lesions in the motor organs.

► Symptoms mostly appear on the hind feet

The weight bearing ratio of the dog's front and rear feet is about 7:3. Because the front feet are used more frequently, the muscles of the rear feet will be weaker and more likely to degenerate in the long run. Symptoms of degenerative diseases will appear slowly, so if you don’t pay attention at ordinary times, it is easy to ignore them; fur parents must pay more attention to the way and posture of their dogs in daily life!

►Let’s confirm the degree of degeneration of the dog’s motor organs

Early detection is the key to treatment! If there is curvature of the body's spine, muscle stiffness, or joint pain, the clues can be seen from the dog's posture. Early detection can lead to early diagnosis and treatment. Fur parents, please don’t miss your dog’s body language!

For example: If your dog sits crookedly on one side, it may be a sign of spinal deformation! At this time, fur parents should correct their dog's posture, remember to be gentle, and don't force it if it hurts. It, you need to take it to the hospital for examination as soon as possible! Please help your dog babies at home to check if they have any of the following conditions~

• Standing and sitting sometimes, it feels like Joe doesn’t know whether he wants to stand or sit for a long time

• often falls on the height difference between floors

•The tail wags lower and lower

 • Walking speed slows down

•Butt feels thinner

•The waist seems to have become lower

•I can’t lift my knees and drag my feet when walking

• When sitting down, I will sit on one side and cannot squat down

• If you look at it from behind when walking, the back feet will be slightly closed together to form an inverted triangle

If a dog has a motor organ system disease, the affected area will sometimes cause pain. Therefore, if fur parents accidentally touch the affected area, they are likely to be attacked by an angry dog; if your dog baby has been inexplicable recently. It's a wonderful attack behavior.
