3. The dog’s bowel sounds disappear, and hard fecal balls can be palpated during rectal examination. The diagnosis can be made based on the history and palpation of the abdomen.

Treatment methods for dog constipation:

1. For simple constipation, you can use warm soapy water or 2% soda water for enema. For specific operations, you can use a rubber tube to inject water into the rectum, and press the constipated intestine while injecting until the agglomerated feces becomes soft. During the enema, the vagina should not be too high. Otherwise, it is easy to cause penetration of the rectal wall. In addition, you can also take laxatives, 5-30g of sodium sulfate or magnesium sulfate, or 5-30ml of liquid paraffin. In severe cases, general paralysis is performed and tweezers are used to break up feces. You can also choose 5-15g each of Glauber's salt and rhubarb. After grinding, mix with honey and take it orally.

3. After the feces is unblocked, the dog should be given appropriate exercise. The owner should also prepare the feed reasonably and provide sufficient drinking water.
