Maybe you can often see streaking dogs on the street (all the hair on the dog's body is shaved or a head is grown), and most of them are VIPs and Bichons. In summer, it can also be understood that dogs are shaved because they are afraid of being hot (although this is a wrong view), but why should they be shaved in winter? Why is this?

Because for curly-haired dogs like Poodles and Bichons, the first hair they grow is lanugo, which is generally soft, sparse or not curly. The beauty treatment cannot maintain the style for a long time or has no effect at all. Therefore, it is generally recommended that dog owners shave the dog's lanugo once after completing the basic immunization program. The time can be determined according to weather conditions, usually after 4 months. It is best to use some beauty and health care products for your dog during the hair growth period. This is a critical period for improving the quality of your dog's hair. For example, lecithin can improve dog skin resistance. Or seaweed powder, natural astaxanthin, etc. can precipitate pigments to make dog hair shiny. Lecithin can be fed one week before shaving to strengthen the dog's skin protection, and it can effectively protect the skin after shaving. Hair beauty products such as seaweed powder and natural astaxanthin can be used after shaving your dog. Accelerates dog hair growth and makes the color bright.

But shaving can also depend on the dog’s condition. For example, some dogs are born with curly and hard hair. Then there is no need to shave the dog. You can have a proper beauty treatment and just cut your hair as short as possible. Some dogs' fetal hair has partially faded, so it is recommended to shave it off. The hair that grows back will generally be darker in color.

Dogs should receive comprehensive nutrition during their hair growth period. In addition to better dog food, you can also supplement vitamin B appropriately, which is very good for the growth of dog fur. The egg yolk in food health care is of great help to the shiny hair of dogs. But don’t give your dog raw eggs. Eating raw eggs can easily lead to diarrhea due to bacterial or parasitic infection. Don’t give too many cooked egg yolks, as they have a relatively high cholesterol content, 2-4 per week, depending on the size of the dog.
