Anthelmintics taken by humans cannot be given to dogs. Because the measurement is difficult to control, it is easy to be poisoned and can lead to the death of the dog. Moreover, dogs are different from humans in terms of absorption, so the process of medicine is also different. It is recommended that owners feed their dogs special deworming medicine for pets, and deworm internally and externally on a regular basis. It is administered once every 3 months in vivo and once every 1 month in vitro (medication is administered according to body weight). Internal deworming generally prevents nematodes, roundworms, etc. External deworming generally prevents fleas, lice, mites, etc.

Notes on deworming dogs:

1. Deworming time. For puppies, external deworming can be performed when the dog is 6 weeks old (after weaning), while internal deworming is performed when the dog is 8 weeks old. If your dog is found to be infected with parasites during this period, remember to use the right anthelmintics. In addition, internal deworming and vaccination need to be separated by a period of time, about 5-7 days, and they need to be carried out when the dog is healthy.

2. Medication dosage. The dosage needs to be determined according to the drug instructions and the weight of the puppy. Overdosage can lead to drug poisoning, which may be life-threatening.

3. Keep warm. During the period of deworming the puppy, take measures to keep it warm and do not bathe it to avoid catching a cold.
