Adult dogs may also develop parvovirus. At present, the prevention and treatment measure for parvovirus is to inject vaccines. Whether adult dogs will get parvovirus is related to whether the vaccine is injected according to the complete immunization program. It is also closely related to whether the booster vaccine is injected regularly. The vaccination and booster are injected according to the program. Vaccines reduce the chance of minor infections. But all vaccines cannot guarantee 100% ability to produce antibodies.

Causes of dog infection with parvovirus:

1. Leftovers. Leftovers are prone to spoilage and are likely to carry many germs, which can easily lead to parvovirus in dogs after eating them.

2. The food is greasy. Greasy food can easily damage the gastrointestinal health of dogs, cause discomfort, cause vomiting and diarrhea, and increase the risk of developing small lesions.

3. Contact with sick dogs. Parvovirus is highly contagious among dogs. If a normal dog comes into contact with a sick dog, he or she will be easily infected with the parvovirus.
