The Stabie Hound is a medium-sized single hound that originated in the Netherlands in the 17th century. This dog looks similar to a spaniel, with a slightly longer and well-proportioned body, a broad head and a muzzle that slopes toward the nose. Originating from the Friesland province in the north of the Netherlands, it may be a hybrid of the hounds brought by the Spanish conquistadors, the Dutch partridge hound and the Dutch water spaniel. 2. Characteristics of Stabehhound

Head: The head of the Stabie Hound is of good size, with a broad, well-structured skull, brown eyes, and large, folded, feathered ears.

Body: The body is broad in front, rectangular in shape, and of moderate size. The front legs are straight and strong, the hind legs are muscular, and the elbows are well bent. The feet are small and compact, with slightly arched toes and thick pads. The tail is long, relatively straight and drooping, the height is 50-53cm, and the weight is 15-20kg.
