Cats are the embodiment of cuteness. If you have a cat at home, it will definitely add a lot of life. Many people choose to keep pets from an early age. If you want to raise a kitten, but you don’t know anything about what kittens eat, then you should first understand some common sense about kitten feeding!

Cats should develop a good habit of eating cat food from an early age. Kittens can eat cat food from the age of 4 weeks and start soaking it in warm water. Kittens can be fed dry cat food when they are 10 weeks old. They can eat freely and have clean drinking water.

Eat small meals frequently, and pay attention to timing, quantity, and fixed points when feeding.

Timing: Feed at a fixed time every day to develop good eating habits.

Rationality: Don’t eat too much or too little. As the cat’s age increases, the kitten’s food intake will gradually increase during a certain period of time (usually three or four months old), and will remain stable after eight months or more.

Generally, cats around 2 months old need to eat more than 5 or 6 times a day. Before three months, kittens were usually fed four times a day, such as 9 a.m., 12 noon, 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. When three to six months old, feed three times a day. After six months of age, feed the cat twice a day. From this period on, it is best to use dry cat food, which is good for its teeth and gums.

When the milk for kittens is not enough or there is no milk, they can drink special pet milk powder. When they are older, you can add some rice flour to the milk powder. If you eat milk directly, it may cause diarrhea because kittens cannot digest milk well.
