Symptoms of aspirin poisoning in cats:

Elevated body temperature, irritability, loss of appetite, decreased vision, dizziness, cyanosis of the skin and visible mucous membranes, rash, asthma, edema, Severe pain in the abdomen and blood in the vomitus. Treatment methods for aspirin poisoning in cats:

1. Induce vomiting, gastric lavage, and take activated charcoal and cathartic drugs as soon as possible to prevent further absorption of poisons.

2. Alkalize urine for 36 to 48 hours to promote the excretion of poisons: sodium bicarbonate, 50 mg/kg, orally, 2 to 3 times a day.

3. Sodium bicarbonate can also relieve the body’s metabolic acidosis. Supportive therapy: replenish fluids, replenish electrolytes, and maintain acid-base balance.

4. Use gastrointestinal protective agents and histamine receptor antagonists (trimethrin, furfural thiamine).

5. Those with serious illness should undergo dialysis with alkaline peritoneal dialysis solution.
