Treatment methods for feline seborrheic dermatitis:

1. Treat the primary disease, such as cat ringworm, demodicosis, endocrine disorders, etc.

2. Treat secondary diseases, often caused by bacteria and Malassezia.

3. Use anti-seborrheic shampoos and emollients, take fatty acids orally, and in severe cases, use glucocorticoids.

4. Change the rations and ensure good nutrition. Gradually increase the amount of higher unsaturated oils and saturated fatty acids (beef, pork, and chicken) in your food. In addition, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B2 and B6 should be added.

Causes for cats suffering from seborrheic dermatitis:

1. Cats are nutritionally unbalanced and often eat low-fat foods.

2. Often located in high temperature and low humidity environments.

3. Causes of external parasites (especially demodicosis, scabies infection and dermatophytes, etc.).

4. Secondary to or complicated by abnormal hormone secretion (especially gonads), hypothyroidism, chronic liver disease, atopy, malabsorption syndrome and allergies, etc.
