Common dog ear canal diseases:

1. Water accumulation in the ear canal. Bathing and dogs licking each other's ear canals can easily cause water accumulation in the ear canal.

2. Ear scabies, one of the most easily transmitted ear canal diseases, usually makes the dog’s ears extremely itchy, and the dirt in the ear canal appears black and sticky.

3. Allergy. The skin of the dog’s ear canal will appear red, swollen and itchy, but if it is a simple allergy, there will usually be no smell.

4. Foreign objects fall in. The cotton head of a cotton swab is the most common foreign object that falls into the dog’s ear canal. Please be sure to seek treatment from your veterinarian as soon as possible.

5. Bacterial infection. Bacterial infection is usually secondary. Such problems need to be identified by a veterinarian before being treated with medication.

6. Tumors or abnormal proliferative tissue, please consult your veterinarian immediately.

Methods to clean the dog’s ear canal:

1. Use cotton swabs. We can use cotton swabs to clean the dog’s ears. It is best to use two cotton swabs together. Use it to get a more comprehensive picture.

2. Ear oil. There is special ear oil on the market for washing dogs’ ears. Put a few drops into the dog’s ears, and then gently rub the dog’s ear canal.

3. Take a bath, wipe and clean the dog’s ears. This can be done after bathing it.
