If there is saprolegnia in the fish tank, the water must be changed. Because saprolegnia is caused by fungal infection, the water needs to be changed to reduce the number of fungi, otherwise the fish's condition will become more serious. Usually saprolegnia is caused by the temperature of the fish tank being too low. Fish suffering from saprolegnia will have white flocculent material on their bodies, which will also cause the fish's appetite to decrease.

Tip:

When the owner discovers that a fish is suffering from saprolegnia, he should immediately take out the sick fish and isolate them, then change the water and raise the water temperature. At the same time, he can sprinkle an appropriate amount of coarse salt into the fish tank for disinfection and sterilization.
