A turtle does not need a male turtle to lay eggs. Turtles are oviparous animals. There are no male turtles. Female turtles can still lay eggs. However, these eggs are not fertilized and will not hatch into baby turtles. Generally, these eggs will be laid in the water and will be eaten by the turtles. If ovulation occurs during normal mating, a male turtle is required, and the eggs released at this time are successfully fertilized eggs.

Things to note when turtles lay eggs:

1. Supplement nutrition. You can feed the turtle some meat, fruits and feed, and you can also add an appropriate amount of vitamins or calcium and other trace elements to effectively avoid the appearance of soft-shell eggs and sand-shell eggs.

2. Prepare warm water. Prepare warm water in the pool and put the turtles in the warm water. Do not wash them with your hands, as this may scare the turtles that are about to lay eggs.

3. Prepare the egg-laying nest. Choose an ordinary old shoe box, put a clean plastic bag inside the shoe box, and spread a layer of about 5-10 layers of fine sand. The moisture content of the fine sand should be kept at a high level.

4. Keep quiet. When a turtle lays eggs, it needs absolute self-space and cannot be disturbed at all, otherwise it will become resistant and become irritable.
