Common diseases of Corgis

1. Diarrhea. After a sudden change of food, there may be an invasion of parasites, bacteria, viruses, or the dog may be allergic to food, allergic to some pesticides, or poisoned.

2. Dehydration. When water is lost due to vomiting and diarrhea, the skin easily loses elasticity. This is different from the skin sticking to the skeletal muscles when the dog is emaciated.

3. Shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing. Upper respiratory tract stenosis, foreign bodies, pneumonia, emphysema, pulmonary edema, pleural effusion, heart disease, etc.

4. Mucous membranes and skin turn yellow and black. Anemia, immune system disease, hepatobiliary disease, uremia.

5. Edema of limbs, subcutaneous and intra-abdominal water accumulation. The puppy is malnourished and has liver, kidney, and heart disease.

6. If the urine changes color, becomes pus, and is small in quantity, it may mean insufficient water intake. White turbidity, stones or inflammation.

7. There is strange discharge from the private parts. Normal female dogs are in estrus for about 2 weeks. If there is still white or dark brown secretions for more than 2 weeks, the uterus and bladder are diseased.

8. Polyuria and frequent thirst. Increased urine output and frequency, constant thirst, pyometra or endocrine disorders.

9. Behaving strangely. Diseases of bones, muscles, joints, or abnormalities of the nervous system. If the above symptoms are found, dog parents should seek medical treatment or contact the doctor as soon as possible and observe carefully.
