1. Isolate the sick fish. White spot disease is also contagious among fish. If one or two fish in the fish tank show signs of white spot disease, isolate them first to avoid infecting other fish in the tank.

2. Increase the temperature of the water. The pathogen of white spot disease is small melon worms. Small melon worms can only survive in water temperatures below 23°C. Therefore, if breeders want to separate small melon worms from Luohan fish, they must first increase the water temperature to 28-30°C.

3. Add salt to the fish tank. When parasites come out because they cannot stand the high temperature in the fish tank, you need to add salt to the fish tank. You can use coarse salt and fine salt. The concentration of salt water should generally not exceed 0.5%. Use this method with water changes for about a week. You will gradually see the effect.

4. Change the water. After adding salt, the concentration of the water becomes higher. If the fish lives in this environment for a long time, it will cause difficulty in breathing. Another function of changing the water is to transfer dead parasites out of the water to avoid the production of other bacteria due to the decay of the parasites.

5. Medication. If the white spot disease is very severe and the above methods are ineffective, medication may be needed. Commonly used drugs for treating white spot disease include yellow powder, white spot net and methyl blue. Be sure to follow instructions strictly and don't use too much.
