Raising hamsters is more economical. Compared with guinea pigs, hamsters eat less. On average, one guinea pig can feed three hamsters. The area requirements of the breeding environment are also different. The cages required by guinea pigs are very large and expensive, while the cages for hamsters are much cheaper, so it is more economical than raising guinea pigs.

How to raise hamsters

1. Prepare a breeding box for the hamster. Place food bowls, drinking fountains, nests, toys and other items in the breeding box. All items in the breeding box should be made of non-toxic materials. Hamsters have the habit of chewing things randomly to prevent hamster poisoning.

2. Cover the hamster’s breeding box with bedding. The bedding can effectively prevent hamsters from getting wet tails and prevent hamsters from catching colds.

3. Breeders should regularly clean the sanitation in the breeding box, dispose of food residues, and disinfect and sterilize the items in the breeding box.

4. You can feed hamsters fruits and vegetables regularly. This kind of food can help hamsters supplement trace elements and dietary fiber and improve their digestion ability.
