Young rabbits should be fed mainly baby rabbit food and plenty of hay. It is best not to feed young rabbits under six months old vegetables and fruits, because their gastrointestinal tract is very fragile, otherwise they are prone to vomiting, diarrhea, and in severe cases, gastroenteritis and other diseases.

Young rabbit’s diet

1. Young rabbits about 1 month old need to drink milk. If the mother rabbit has no milk, you can give it to the young rabbit. Eat some goat milk powder.

2. Young rabbits after weaning can feed on alfalfa, Timothy grass and baby rabbit food to help the growth and development of young rabbits.

3. Pair it with other foods for balanced nutrition, such as grass, vegetables, fruits, etc.

4. Pay attention to the amount of alfalfa when feeding, otherwise young rabbits will develop calcium urine.

5. They need to be supplied with enough drinking water every day. Rabbits should drink cool water.
