Chinchilla is a rodent, whose scientific name is chinchilla. The short-tailed chinchilla is larger, while the long-tailed chinchilla is smaller. The front half is like a rabbit, the back half is like a mouse, the ears are large and blunt, and the tail hair is fluffy. The forelimbs are short, the hind limbs are strong, the jumping ability is very strong, and the running speed is also very fast. It has a docile personality, is close to people, likes to live in groups, and is timid. Contrary to humans, it is active at night and rests during the day.

Methods of raising chinchillas

1. Prepare a moderately sized breeding cage, and put food bowls, drinking fountains, nests and other items in the cage. The food bowl should be fixed as high as possible to prevent food contamination. Purchase a drinking fountain with steel balls to prevent water leakage. You can try to buy a larger nest as much as possible. Chinchillas grow quickly, and a large nest can reduce the number of replacements.

2. Clean the cage regularly, replace the bedding, and disinfect and sterilize. You can observe the condition of the items in the cage at regular intervals. If there is any damage, replace it in time to avoid foreign objects scratching the chinchilla.

3. Regularly feed molar items to prevent the chinchilla’s teeth from becoming too long and affecting the chinchilla’s eating ability. Bath your chinchilla regularly to prevent diseases caused by hygienic issues in your chinchilla.
