Cause of Guppy Pintail:

1. Poor water quality. Although they do not have high requirements for water quality, if the water quality is too poor, bacteria can easily breed in the water, causing them to be infected with pintail disease.

2. High stocking density. They grow quickly and are prone to pintail disease if they live in a small space for a long time.

3. Bacterial infection. It may be caused by too many nitrifying bacteria in the fish tank. Although appropriate nitrifying bacteria can make guppies grow more comfortably, if there are too many nitrifying bacteria, the bacteria can easily adhere, and guppies can easily be infected with pintail disease when they get close to them.

Treatment methods for guppy pintails:

1. Change the water immediately. Their water needs to be changed immediately and the filter turned on to keep the water clean. If the guppy needle tail disease is serious, the breeder will also add some oxytetracycline to the fish tank.

2. Breed separately. Guppies need to be cultured separately first, then the water temperature is raised to between 25-28°C, and then the fish tank is oxygenated. Finally, add an appropriate amount of potassium permanganate to the fish tank to make the water turn light red.

3. Clean the fish tank. You need to fish out all the guppies first, and then clean the fish tank. Finally, use penicillin or furazolidone to give the sick fish a medicated bath once a day for 7 consecutive days, and the needle tail condition can be relieved.
