Sudden strenuous exercise; when treating diseases, infusion speed is too fast or too much, especially drugs that have strong irritation to the myocardium (such as calcium preparations).

2. Heart failure is often secondary to certain diseases, such as canine parvovirus, toxoplasmosis, myocarditis, various toxic diseases, chronic endocarditis, chronic nephritis, etc.

Clinical symptoms of heart failure in dogs:

1. Acute heart failure: Sick dogs show high degree of dyspnea, frequent pulse, thin and irregular pulse. The sick dog is unwilling to move, the conjunctiva of the mouth and eyes are purple, the veins are distended, and it often falls to the ground suddenly and convulses. It is often complicated by pulmonary edema, and bubbly nasal fluid flows from both sides of the nose.

2. Chronic heart failure: The disease develops slowly and can last for months or years. Sick dogs are depressed and unwilling to exercise. If they exercise even slightly, they will become tired and have difficulty breathing. The mucous membranes that can be seen in the mouth and eyes, such as the conjunctiva, are purple, the veins on the body surface are distended, symmetrical edema often occurs in the extremities, there is no heat and pain, the heart sounds are weakened, and intracardiac murmurs and arrhythmias can often be heard.
