Parrots cannot digest food on their own, especially young parrots. They will keep eating when they encounter food they like, which can easily lead to food accumulation. Accumulation of food by parrots is very harmful to themselves, and because they generally cannot digest it on their own, the harm will become more and more serious. It is best for breeders to judge whether parrots have accumulated food through some relevant symptoms and take corresponding measures in a timely manner.

How to deal with food accumulation in parrots:

1. No water or food. It is necessary to deprive the parrot of water and food first to prevent the parrot from continuing to take in water or food, which will increase the burden on the crop.

2. The parrot lifts it upside down. If the parrot has serious food accumulation and the food in the crop is digested slowly, you can lift the parrot upside down and manually drain the food and liquid from the parrot's crop.

3. Pull out the syringe. You can also use a hose with a syringe to extract the food from the parrot's crop. If the owner does not know how to do this, it is recommended to go directly to the pet hospital for solution.

4. Feed yeast tablets or raw lactase. Regulate crop flora, restore gastrointestinal vitality, and promote digestion. Take 1 tablet 2 times a day for 3-5 days.

5. Surgical removal. If parrot crop disease is caused by foreign body obstruction, surgery is required to remove the foreign body, otherwise it may endanger the life of the parrot.
