Budgerigars can only start laying eggs after they are 6 months old. Trampling on the back is a sign that the female parrot is laying eggs. At this time, the budgies can mate and lay eggs. The budgies have a strong reproductive ability and can reproduce all year round. The specific situation of each parrot is different. Don't think that your parrot is sick just because the parrot fails to lay eggs within the normal time. It takes 16-20 days for a budgerigar to incubate its eggs. If an unfertilized or dead egg is found, the female parrot will abandon it.

Things to note during the breeding period of budgerigars:

1. During the breeding period, a pair of breeding birds should be kept in a single cage, and usually more cuttlefish, such as cuttlefish, should be provided in the feed. The calcium-containing nutrition of the plate bones ensures the needs of the female bird for laying eggs.

2. If the weather is too dry during the incubation period, you must spray or sprinkle water outside the nest every other day to increase the air humidity in the nest and ensure the survival rate of the chicks.

3. Do not disturb the parrot while it is incubating its eggs. Do not look at it frequently or clean up its nest. If these conditions occur, the parrot will usually stop incubating the eggs.
