Watermelon turtles are difficult to raise. It is difficult to raise watermelon turtles artificially. Watermelon turtles belong to Southeast Asian turtles. They like warmth and are afraid of cold. The suitable temperature is above 22℃ and hibernates below 15℃. Breeders should pay attention to the water tank temperature and feeding time during the breeding process. Watermelon turtles eat small fish, lean pork, and can also be fed apples, watermelons, and durians. Watermelon turtles prefer these sweeter foods.

Precautions for raising watermelon turtles:

1. Hibernation. Watermelon turtles enter hibernation when the temperature is below 15°C. Generally, they can survive the winter safely if the water temperature is not lower than 4°C. The water depth can be kept at 15-20 centimeters, and it should be covered with a cover to keep it warm, but attention should be paid to ventilation to keep the water surface from freezing.

2. Temperature. Watermelon turtles belong to Southeast Asian turtles. They like warmth and are afraid of cold. The suitable temperature is above 23℃.

3. Feeding. The best time to feed watermelon turtles is in the evening or evening, because watermelon turtles are more active during this time and have a better appetite.

4. Environment. Watermelon turtles cannot live in fresh water for a long time. If salt is not added, it will cause severe skin and nail rot.
