The lifespan of a tent tortoise is 40-60 years. When raising tent tortoises, you must first pay attention to ventilation. The ventilation of the breeding box must be maintained well, otherwise it will easily cause diseases and affect the lifespan of tent tortoises.

How to raise tent tortoises:

1. Temperature. Although tent tortoises are desert tortoises, the breeding temperature is maintained between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is less than 18°C, tent tortoises will hibernate. If the temperature is higher than 35°C, tent tortoises will become dehydrated and even die.

2. Feeding. The diet structure of tent tortoises is very similar to that of cattle, and they are raised on a vegetarian diet. You can feed weeds, pasture, prickly pear, vegetables or other plants. Be careful not to feed fruits or other items with strong sugar content.

3. Water body. The tent tortoise has no requirement for water and usually lives on land. Just make sure there is enough clean drinking water when raising them.

4. Lighting. Tent tortoises need sufficient light, ensuring no less than 3 hours of light per day.

5. Ventilation. Tent tortoises like to live in dry environments, so pay attention to creating a dry environment when raising them.
