Look at the dog’s eyes

Check whether the dog’s eyes are red and swollen, whether there are tears, whether the cornea is turbid, whether there is no secretion from the corners of the eyes, etc. Healthy dogs have clear eyes with no tears and pink conjunctiva. If the dog's eyes are dull, the area around the eyes is unclean, the conjunctiva is red, etc., it may be related to eye disease or indigestion and other diseases.

Look at the dog’s nose

The change of the nose is an important feature to determine whether the dog is sick or not. A healthy dog's nose is cool and moist, with a little water droplets. When a dog's nose is dry or there is serous, mucosal or purulent secretion in the nasal cavity, it is sick.

Look at the dog’s mouth

Look at the dog’s mouth to see if there are any redness, swelling, ulcers and rotten spots, if there is a special smell, if there is any difficulty in swallowing, etc. A healthy dog's mouth is clean, moist, pink, with no bad breath and no salivation. If the mouth is red and swollen, drooling, and accompanied by bad breath, the disease will occur.

Look at the dog’s anus

Whether the dog’s anus is clean, whether there are foreign objects or feces attached, and whether there is inflammation, swelling or ulcers. There are no foreign objects around the anus of healthy dogs, such as feces or redness, which are related to digestive tract diseases, infectious diseases or local inflammation.

Look at the dog’s skin

Check whether the dog’s coat has fallen off, the elasticity of the skin, and whether there are rashes, blisters, scabs or ulcers on the skin. A healthy dog's coat is smooth and shiny, and the skin has good elasticity. If the dog's coat keeps falling off, is rough and dull, has dry skin, lacks elasticity, or has defects such as scabs and ulcers, it is pathological.
