Symptoms of hypothermia in dogs

In this case, the dog is no longer able to regulate its own body temperature.
The dog is cold to the touch.
The oral mucosa is white or even bluish.
Shaking all over (muscle tremors).
Breathing heavily.

Measures for hypothermia in dogs

1. Warm the dog not too fast.
2. Place a hot water bottle (the water temperature should not exceed 40 degrees) on a piece of cloth, and then place it on the dog to avoid burns.
3. Rectal body temperature measurement: normal body temperature is 37℃~39℃, and if it is lower than 36.7℃, life will be in danger.
4. Check whether the dog’s breathing is smooth.
5. You can give the dog some warm water (you cannot give anything to an unconscious dog).
6. Take the dog to a warm place and wrap it in a blanket or clothing. The most ideal is infrared radiation (which penetrates the skin).
7. Take the dog to the veterinarian as quickly as possible.
