When you rescue a drowning dog, you must first think about your own safety.
1. If it is a puppy, lift its hind legs and shake them gently so that the water entering the respiratory tract can flow out. If it is a large dog, place the dog in a position where the tail is much higher than the head (such as on a slope), so that the water entering the lungs can flow out.
2. If you happen to have a helper, ask him to use the palm of his hand to push the dog's chest from back to front to speed up the flow of water.
3. Dry the dog’s body and wrap it in clothes.
4. Rub the dog's chest vigorously to stimulate its breathing.
5. Check vital functions and perform resuscitation when the heart stops beating.
