Appearance differences

The Shetland Sheepdog is a small dog with a shoulder height of 33-39.5 cm. The shoulder height of the Scottish Shepherd is 56-66 cm, making it a medium to large dog. The coat colors of Shetland and Samurai are mainly composed of reddish brown, black, white and merle. A Shetland Sheepdog at the competition level will be disqualified if its coat is more than 1/2 white, while a Scottish Shepherd at the competition level will be disqualified if its coat is more than 3/2 white. 4 is still considered qualified.

Head differences

Shetland has an obvious curve from its forehead to the tip of its nose. Su Mu, on the other hand, is close to a straight line and relatively flat. In terms of mouth, Shetland is smaller and pointed than Su Mu. When Shetland is 2-3 months old, her ears can stand erect or semi-erect on her head. As for Su Mu, who was the same size, his ears were still flat on his head.

Character differences

Shetland is lively and active, and is wary of strangers. Su Mu is the quiet and elegant type, with a very docile and approachable personality. Compared to Shetland, Su Mu is bolder and braver. In terms of IQ, Shetland's IQ is a little higher than Su Mu's. She is very smart and has strong learning ability.
