What is the latest time to give the rabies vaccine?

There is no last time to give the rabies vaccine. The earlier the injection time, the better the immune effect.

The incubation period of human rabies ranges from 5 days to several years (usually 2-3 months, rarely more than 1 year). People who are bitten, scratched, or licked by cats or dogs on mucous membranes or damaged skin must be timely and standardized. Treat the wound and vaccinate as prescribed, try to inject within 24 hours.

People who have been exposed for several days and months but have not been vaccinated for various reasons should also be vaccinated as soon as possible like newly exposed people.
