The most common cause of vomiting in dogs in life is acute infection, such as bacterial gastroenteritis, parvovirus enteritis, food poisoning, etc.; there are also abnormalities in the pharynx, esophagus, and gastrointestinal tract.

So what should a dog owner do?

1. Note:

1. In addition to diseases, vomiting can also be caused by environmental factors, or eating rotten food, grass and other indigestible items.
2. If the vomit is mixed with blood, or if the vomiting is frequent and lasts for more than several hours, or if other symptoms occur, consult a veterinarian immediately.

2. Disposal:

1. Measure the dog’s temperature. If fever or other symptoms are found, discuss with the veterinarian.

2. If the dog's body temperature is normal, he should control his food and drinking water. If you have anti-nausea medication prescribed by your veterinarian, give it to your dog. If your dog vomits the medicine, he should go to the veterinarian.

3. After 12 hours, try giving the dog a small amount of water. If the vomiting stops, give a small amount of water every 3 hours. However, if the dog does not accept water or vomits after drinking it, see a veterinarian.
4. After 24 hours, give a small amount of soft food or dog food. If the vomiting stops, give small amounts of food and water every 3 hours for the next 24 hours. After 3 days, soft foods are given in normal portions, and then the normal diet is resumed.
