The female cat will be in estrus for 10-15 days. During this period, she will appear clingy, begging for petting, arching her buttocks, and screaming at night. If she does not mate, she will continue to be in estrus, and then she will go into estrus every six months. Female cats feel very uncomfortable physically and emotionally when they are in heat.
