Signs of acute encephalitis in dogs
Some sick dogs will appear to circle and retreat and have local or whole-body spasmodic convulsions. They may also appear excited and restless or highly depressed, and may even not recognize their owners. Some may bark continuously, or even run aimlessly, crashing into obstacles, etc. Depressed dogs may have their heads drooping, their eyes half-closed, or they may not move due to obstacles above their heads. Slow response to the outside world, muscles all over the body are weak and weak. Most sick dogs will also have elevated body temperatures and lose their appetite in the later stages.
