What are ear mites

How to tell if your cat has ear mites:

1. When a cat scratches its ears, shakes its head, has a peculiar smell in the ear canal, or increases in ear canal secretions, you should be alert to the cat suffering from ear mites. 2. If you suspect that your cat has ear mites, first hold the cat’s ears to the light and see if there are any brown or black things inside. You can use a cotton swab to stick it in and see if the stuck stuff is in small pieces and not easily crushed. 3. Many people think that cats have ear mites in their ears, but in fact some of them are just earwax. Most ear mites are dark brown, rough in texture, and appear in irregular flakes and lumps. Earwax is generally distributed evenly, and there is no large amount of brown discharge.
