Feeding medicine to cats is not an easy task

1. Standard method

2. Lift the cat, wrap one arm around it, and open its mouth with the other hand. It's easier to place your cat on a raised surface (such as a dresser or work surface) covered with a towel or blanket.

3. Open the cat’s mouth.

Pinch the cat’s mouth open with your thumb and ring finger, and arch the nose with your middle finger and index finger. Be careful not to block the nostrils with your fingers. Your fingers should be on either side of your nose.

4. Put the medicine into the cat’s mouth. If it seems difficult to swallow, you can give it a little water to help it swallow. If you are feeding pills, put them into your cat’s mouth quickly. Be careful not to spray liquid medicine directly into your cat's throat or tongue. Liquid can easily flow into the trachea and may cause the cat to suffocate. To give liquid medicine, a dropper should be inserted between the cat's cheek and teeth.

2. Other possible methods

3. Precautions
